About Us
“Hello, I’m Wendy Ragan. I am a dental hygienist and a holistic health guru. I’m married to my husband, a dentist, and we have one son. I started my health journey in the radiology industry taking thousands of x-rays, CTs, ultrasounds, and much more. I then became a dental hygienist. I saw there was a problem in our current healthcare but did not know what I know now or how to help. After my son has had some health problems, I have researched and researched different alternative and holistic options and treatments. I knew that he needed red light therapy, halotherapy, frequency therapy and much more, but did not know how to get these things. I decided to open up a healing center and a medical spa with my cousin, Katie, who is a chiropractor. Together we have created something that did not exist before. My hope is that other mothers who are searching to help with their children can find some relief and hope, here at The Element Theory, the primary choice medical spa McAlester OK service. I’m proud to say that we have created that one stop wellness shop that I so desperately needed as a mother and can’t wait to be the solution for so many people that have any sort of medical condition that is holding them back.”
“Hi, I’m Katie Rings. I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and a lover of all things when it comes to natural health. I am a big fan of holistic healing and allowing the body to naturally heal on its own, like it was created to do. I grew up in both the Dallas and Chicago areas. I played competitive travel soccer from the age of 4 until college, where I played at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. I also played basketball and softball throughout my childhood and teenage years. Throughout that time I had many injuries. There was nowhere to turn when it came to naturally healing my body for the next soccer match. The only options I had were traditional medicine. I always wanted to create a space, such as our medical spa McAlester OK space, where athletes and even everyday people could go to naturally heal their body after an injury or even a simple workout. While getting my Bachelor of Arts from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, my minor was Health and Human Performance. During those classes I started to understand how the body works and what it needs for optimal performance and recovery. Then after getting my undergraduate degree, I went on to Parker University and received my Doctorate of Chiropractic. During my time at Parker University, I learned the entire human anatomy and physiology on a deep level. During that time I learned a lot of alternative routes to health. Holistic health was a big focus at Parker University so I began to find out other ways to heal the body besides traditional medicine. Some modalities that we offer at The Element Theory, that I learned about while at Parker, included cryotherapy, heat therapy, and red light therapy. After graduation in August 2019 and working for another Doctor in Dallas for a year, I opened up my own practice in McAlester, Oklahoma. After opening up and serving all my patients for 2 years, I knew there needed to be more holistic health options for the community. That’s when my cousin Wendy Ragan and I opened The Element Theory and make it the best medical spa McAlester OK has to offer”
Both Wendy and Katie wanted to bring a new health option to the McAlester community. It all started out during a trip to Tulsa. Katie wanted to bring in some new modalities to her chiropractic office and Wendy had some great ideas. She had wanted to bring a salt cave and halotherapy to McAlester for a while because her family had some allergy and sinus issues but just never did it yet. Wendy had also done a lot of research on red light therapy and even had a little red light at her house for her and her family. She wanted a place to be able to take her and her family to heal naturally. Katie had always wanted the option of cryotherapy since she has chronic knee issues. Together, Wendy and Katie had the idea of coupling up the five different elements with different holistic treatment modalities, which is what turned into the best medical spa McAlester OK services. They did the research and found the perfect way to stack the five different modalities, one feeding into the other, building on health and healing. First, they started with the element metal which coupled up with the VIBE bed, which is a frequency, vibrational, and sound therapy mat. Next is the water element, which is coupled up with the eCabin Cryochamber. Wood is the next element and that element is coupled with the infrared sauna. Red light therapy is coupled with the fire element. Lastly the element of Earth is coupled with halotherapy, which is the salt cave and salt tent. There are so many benefits to each of these holistic treatment modalities, that it’s hard to list them all. They not only help with pain and inflammation for athletes and sports recovery but they can also help with a list of other chronic health issues. Wendy and Katie wanted to create a one stop shop for holistic health. They created The Element Theory medical spa McAlester OK experience in hopes that people would turn to more eastern medicine and holistic ideas on healing. Now instead of going to different wellness shops or medical spas to get all these different modalities, they can get them all under one roof. The best way to experience The Element Theory is by doing the Full Five. During the Full Five, you can experience all five elements, therefore doing all five modalities that they offer. Wendy and Katie realized that the most healing that can happen is when these holistic treatment modalities are stacked in a specific order, and that’s how the Full Five was created. The future of America’s health is getting away from big pharma and more towards natural, holistic healing modalities. They are excited to offer all of these services under one roof, for optimal healing!
You absolutely have to check them out and see why The Element Theory is the choice medical spa McAlester OK experience.
